Role-playing game "Radiant Historia" was first released for the Nintendo DS in 2010. However, it's getting a complete remake for the 3DS, and fans of the franchise will be able to see "Radiant Historia: Perfect Chronology" sometime next year.

Developer Atlus confirmed the remake by releasing a trailer to their YouTube channel in September. Six years have passed since the game's original release, but fans of the franchise will have a chance to return to Vainqueur, a place surrounded by warring kingdoms.

In "Radiant Historia: Perfect Chronology," players will jump into the shoes of Stocke, an espionage agent who gets his hands on the White Chronicle. He is destined to alter the world's fate and guide history to its rightful conclusion. It is up to Stocke to use this power as they see fit.

The trailer features the game's updated graphics, character design, pixel art, voice acting as well as snippets of the soundtrack and battle gameplay.

According to Kotaku, "Radiant Historia: Perfect Chronology" will also be coming with a new in-game scenario. Aside from that, a new character named Nemesis has been added alongside a third timeline. Players will also have the ability to travel back in time and change the game's course of events.

These added elements for "Radiant Historia: Perfect Chronology" will allow players to alter more events and come up with brand-new consequences.

However, fans of the first game can choose to play it in Append Mode, which will only include the original game's content. Opposite to Append Mode, players will also get Perfect Mode, which gives them all of the new playable content.

According to Gematsu, Atlus will release a "Radiant Historia: Perfect Chronology" launch edition. This will come with an exclusive art book and stylized character decals.

"Radiant Historia: Perfect Chronology" is slated to come out sometime in early 2018.
