After rumors about another season of "Rainbow Six Siege" came out in September, Ubisoft finally confirmed that the game will have another year's worth of new contents.

In the game's official Twitter post, the game developer told the fans of "Rainbow Six Siege" that they had an incredible journey during the past year. They also claimed that they are excited to launch another full year of content for a continuous gaming experience.

While details about what the contents of the second season of "Rainbow Six Siege" remain under wraps, speculations claim that it could be the same as the game's first season where four major additional content had been released. It includes the Canadian-based mission titled "Operation Black Ice" that came out in February, the Middle Eastern mission titled "Operation Dust Line" that was released in May, the Brazilian BOPE CTU-centered mission called the "Operation Skull Rain" that was released in July, as well as the soon-to-be-released "Operation Red Crow" that will center on the events happening on the streets of Nagoya in Japan.

If Ubisoft will base the next set of content on the previous four missions for "Rainbow Six Siege" that was released in 2016, players should expect to see a new map and two new operators with the upcoming releases next year.

Players should also expect to see a new set of weapon skins, balance changes, as well as brand-new patches to the next line-up of content for the December 2015-released first-person shooter game.

Meanwhile, Ubisoft also revealed that "Rainbow Six Siege" garnered more than 10 million players during the company's latest earnings call. The game joined the ranks of other popular titles from the studio, including "The Crew" and "The Division."

Ubisoft is expected to reveal the details about the season 2 contents of "Rainbow Six Siege" in the coming days.
