After confirming that the new "Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Siege" DLC will bring players to the streets of Japan, Ubisoft revealed that the game's upcoming expansion will be called "Operation Red Crow."

The game developer released a brief teaser for the next "Rainbow Six Siege" DLC on YouTube, showing that the game's action will take place in the city of Nagoya.

"Rainbow Six Siege" art director Gregory Fromenteau explained the inspiration for the DLC in a post on the game's official website.

According to Fromenteau, players will be tasked to stop the organized crime threat that emerged within a mansion in Nagoya where a group of Yakuza resides. The dangerous violence reportedly began when several members of the Higashiyama-gumi group revolted against their leader.

The trailer for the upcoming DLC showed several rooms located inside various Japanese style buildings. The rooms, including a restaurant and a bar, could be ideal hiding venues where characters can use during their quest.

The art director also revealed how they managed to come up with the idea for the design of the upcoming "Operation Red Crow" DLC for "Rainbow Six Siege." Fromenteau said that they experimented with different opposites to design the map. "For instance we mixed beauty with bloodshed, serenity with vertigo, and art with destruction. The goal was to trigger a sense of vertigo, no matter where you stood in the map," the art director stated.

Fromenteau revealed that they also used to the influence of several classic Japanese filmmakers to add more depth to the map of the upcoming DLC.

"Rainbow Six Siege" players will be able to learn more details about the upcoming "Operation Red Crow" DLC during a live panel and demo that Ubisoft will conduct on Nov. 12 and 13. It will be broadcasted during the Pro League semi-finals and finals.
