'Rainbow Six Siege' new PVP mode: Ubisoft confirms new PVP mode for tactical-shooter

Ubisoft announces new PVP mode for "Rainbow Six Siege" called Pick & Ban.Ubisoft

Game mogul and game innovator Ubisoft has announced a new PvP mode coming to players of the tactical shooting game "Rainbow Six Siege," and it is going to be called Pick & Ban.

This new feature will allow players to ban an opposing team from designating two Operators of their own liking for the duration of the whole match. In the same sense, the other team is also prohibited from picking their own operators.

Aside from this, lineups for both teams will be revealed at the start of each round for all players to see. But players will then be given the chance to re-choose an Operator without the enemy knowing. The opposing team will have to pinpoint the Operator using the usual techniques -- through cameras and drones.

The new mode will be introduced initially as a Custom Game option, although there is a possibility that it will drop to public matches not long after.

The latest game feature will see its first outing during the "Rainbow Six Siege" Pro Leagues in line with Year 3 and season 2 in June of this year. However, Ubisoft did not go further into details if players in the competition will be able to access the new PVP mode.

In other news, Ubisoft confirmed its dedication in reaching 100 Operators for "Rainbow Six Siege" -- with its current number being 36. In line with this, it also reassured that past and future weapon add-ons in-game will be made available without charge.

Alongside this confirmation, the game company also told users that all versions of the "Rainbow Six Siege" will come with 20 Operators already unlocked free of charge.

"Rainbow Six Siege" debuted on the gaming scene in 2015 and is available on the following platforms -- the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.
