A family of three quickly grew into a family of six after welcoming a rare set of identical triplets last month. 

The three boys were born to Jase and Jody Kinsey of Miles, Montana, and join an older brother, Jax, 6.

"It's kinda almost overwhelming," Jase told KVTQ.

"When you think about when they get a little older, are they all going to play the same sports? Or are you going to go 50 million directions and be able to help all of them as much as you can. But I can't wait for that to come. I'm so ready."

The triplets - named Milo, Ian, and Cade - and were born at the Billings Clinic with no complications.

There is about a one-in-a-million chance of a fertilised egg splitting twice. 

In February,  Allison and Wes Rhoa of Philadelphia gave birth to identical triplets Ava, Avery and Alissa.

"I still can't believe it that it happened," Allison admitted.  "It was definitely something we weren't expecting, but we couldn't be happier now that they're here."

Last January, April and Brad Dooley of southern California welcomed identical triplets Patrick, Owen and Liam, without the assistance of fertility drugs. 

"We were trying for one more time," April told the Register."I had had two miscarriages. We were just trying one more time to get pregnant."

Another California couple, Hannah and Tom Hepner, welcomed triplets Abby, Laurel and Brin a month prior. They too expressed nervous excitement regarding the miracle birth. 

"When we first found out, we just sort of laughed in that nervous way," Hannah said. "It's overwhelming to think of everything that's to come."
