As the show's home Showtime ordered, viewers better get ready for a dozen more episodes for the next season of "Ray Donovan," arranged to be aired next year. As the story builds up, the show will take a step further to get bolder, as it promises a more intricate plot and more interesting characters for its loyalists.

Already known as the unfailing Showtime tradition, a 20-second teaser that shows Ray, Mickey and Abby was released to get everyone wound up for the season finale and the opening of a new one. The short teaser sports scenes from the previous season, with a male voice over saying: "You don't know who you are anymore, Ray."

For the third time, the cast will bring the show to life, and Live Schreiber will still play the role of the rich and famous fixer from a highly-esteemed law firm known as Goldman & Drexler.

Fans will also get to see Hank Azaria in action as Ed Cochran. Viewers will be in for a crazier and creepier Ed Cochran whom fans will watch (and most likely hate) as a sociopath in the upcoming season. In his effort to get himself out of messy situations, Ed Cochran only becomes worse. All that and a complex plot are being put together for the next season, as announced by Showtime President himself, David Nevins.

All of the original cast members, including Eddie Marsan (Ray's older brother), Paula Malcomson (Ray's wife), Jon Voight (Ray's father) and Dash Mihok (Ray's younger alcoholic brother), is ready to film early next year.

It would not be a surprise if the latest season will premiere on July 2015, if the pattern of the release dates of the previous seasons is followed. Even though no exact date has been announced, Showtime invites everyone to await the continuation of Donovan's extreme tricks and tales.
