Early February saw gaming company giant Razer unveiling its overhauled Blade gaming laptop, touting it as "... the world's thinnest and lightest 14-inch gaming notebook, is now packed with the latest processors from Intel and NVIDIA, more memory and a stunning best-in-class QHD+ display." 

There are two models to choose from, both QHD+ and Full HD model, sporting an aluminum chassis and a 14-inch display. However, the Full HD model only optimizes the view across 1920 x 1080 pixel screen, while the QHD+ display is more vivid at 3200 x 1800 pixels. The display is made more brilliant with Razer's IGZO (Indium Gallium Zinc Oxide) technology, giving users unrivaled colors and radiant image quality. Additionally, the ultra-responsive 10-point capacitive multi-touch screen promises optimized integration of the touch interface in Windows 8. 

Although thin at 235 mm, the gaming community can be certain that the new gaming laptop is powerful, as both models are packed with Intel Core i7 quad-core processors and the latest NVIDIA GeForce GTX 970M graphics. They both also feature backlit keyboards, a custom-designed track pad, and programmable keys.

Promising better gaming experience, the new Blade is the culmination of years of hard work and the promise of continuous improvements.

According to Min-Liang Tan, co-founder and CEO of Razer, "When we debuted the Razer Blade in 2013, we set the benchmark for gaming laptops – and other companies worldwide have followed in our footsteps."

The new Blade gaming laptop is available online. The QHD+ model retails starting at $2,199 and is available at both Razerzone.com and select Microsoft Stores. Meanwhile, the Full HD model is exclusive only on Razerzone.com, and price starts at $1,999.
