Multi-Grammy winning songstress Anita Baker reveals she is holding her farewell concert tour this year.

The legendary R&B singer and songwriter surprised its over 400,000 followers on Twitter on New Year's Day with a post that had some crying happy tears.

It has been a year since the eight-time Grammy Award winner announced that she was retiring. But back in January 2017, Baker said she neither has an album nor a tour to commemorate it with.

Thankfully for her many fans, the tides have changed. The soul crooner is coming out of retirement to give them one last gift after all.

The 59-year-old, who is celebrating her 60th birthday on Jan. 26, began the post by saying there is so much to celebrate in 2018, which she is kicking off with her birthday. She then dropped the bomb, that come March, she will kick off her farewell concert series.

"We'll paint pictures together 2 last a Lifetime... "Let's Party!" #OneLastTime

While it is hard to say good-bye to the "Body and Soul" singer, fans were just too happy to know that she is performing one last time, with many already requesting that the musician should drop by their various cities.

Still, there are those who want to hear the singer's voice forever.

Baker has yet to reveal the venues for the said concert tour, but the "Rhythm of Love" crooner is set to headline the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival this spring.

Baker rose to fame in the 1980s with hit songs "Caught Up in the Rupture" and "No One in the World," sung in her iconic voice that is able to mix contemporary soul music with jazz.

The singer has since won various awards, as well as scored several number ones on the Billboard R&B/Hip Hop charts.
