A few years have passed since the popular reality show "Real Housewives of Miami" ended. However, there are still many fans of the show, and the rumors of the show coming back has not really gone away. Now, it looks like a new "Real Housewives" show is being developed, this time in other locations in South Florida.

The show's executive producer Andy Cohen had a "Never say never" attitude about the possibility of the show returning. He even wrote about it in his book called "Superficial: More Adventures From the Andy Cohen Diaries."

"I knew the first question was going to be when is Real Housewives of Miami coming back," Cohen wrote. "And I said, 'Never say never.' But I could see from the women's faces that they didn't believe me and then I kind of didn't believe me, but I was getting nostalgic for them."

In 2014, the year following the show's last season, it was reported that Bravo TV was testing footage for a possible season 4 of "Real Housewives of Miami." Unfortunately, it did not work out. There was no official statement released by the network about the show's apparent cancellation, with Cohen only suggesting that the series was already "dead in the water."

However, reports indicated that another "Real Housewives" show was in the works, and may be returning to Bravo TV as early as next year. This time, the show will not focus on Miami, but somewhere else in South Florida, like Boca Raton or Palm Beach.

That does not mean the appearances of former reality stars from "Real Housewives of Miami" is ruled out. Since the new show is set somewhere nearby, the housewives of Miami could possible make an appearance or even get casted as regulars.

This kind of development path is not new to the Real Housewives franchise. After the network cancelled "Real Housewives of DC," the show moved to a nearby town to develop "Real Housewives of Potomac."
