"Real Housewives of Atlanta's" newest cast member Eva Marcille found it weird how Will Jones, the boyfriend of co-star Cynthia Bailey, denied her statement in the latest episode of the reality television show.

Marcille is the newest cast member to join the "Real Housewives of Atlanta" crew and, in her debut episode, she immediately made headlines by revealing that she had met Jones with another whom he claimed to be his girlfriend just days before Bailey announced that they were together.

Jones immediately denied this accusation, saying that he never called this unknown woman his girlfriend and that the meeting happened a long time ago.

According to an interview with TooFab, Marcille found the entire situation just weird, especially with how it all played out. To be specific, she found it strange how Jones seemed to treat the whole story as if it was fabricated instead of admitting the meeting happened but that, perhaps, Marcille misunderstood or misremembered the situation.

This was further compounded when Marcille revealed that Jones had once messaged her about how he was in a relationship with Bailey shortly after Marcille saw him with the rumored girlfriend.

"For me, that was a little weird because I had literally just met him with his girlfriend, and now he's dating this full-on celebrity and is going to be on television with this trip? It was a little off putting for me," she said.

It seems Marcille is genuinely confused by the whole situation and perhaps did not intend for it to escalate to the point that it has, especially considering how she had gone out of her way to say that she wanted to get along with all the other cast members and form a healthy relationship with them.

"We should have each other's backs and root for each other," she said in an interview with PEOPLE.

The next episode of "Real Housewives of Atlanta" is scheduled to air on Sunday, Feb. 11, at 8 p.m. EST on Bravo. No new episode will air this week because of the Super Bowl.
