Inching closer to the premiere of "Real Housewives of Atlanta" Season 7, all the talk has put Phaedra Parks and Apollo Nida's marriage in the forefront. It is public knowledge that Nida is serving prison time, while Parks is contemplating on what to do with their marriage.

Nida was sentenced to eight years imprisonment for identity theft and bank fraud. And while Parks' husband is serving his time, she is cooking up her own plans to move forward with her life, too – divorcing Nida while he is behind bars to be exact. These are the rumors that have surrounded the troubled couple.

Now, there's a new report from Life & Style that quotes a source close to Parks. The source confirms that Parks is decided on getting a divorce.

"Phaedra's starting the divorce process all on her own," said the source. Take note that Parks is a lawyer, and she is drawing up the papers herself, added the source.

On the other hand, Nida is putting up a fight or, at least, he's finding something to do while serving his eight-year sentence. According to the same report, a source close to Nida said that he is planning to write a tell-all book.

"He wants to reveal shocking secrets about what led him to prison — and about Phaedra and their relationship. Nothing will be off-limits!" the source said.

Meanwhile, the divorce rumors are putting Parks in a bad light. Many are starting to think that Parks is leaving her husband just because he is now a convicted criminal and in prison. Good friend from "The Real Housewives of Atlanta" Kandi Burruss expressed her concern about people judging Parks.

WetPaint pointed out that Parks isn't leaving Nida just because of what happened, it's more of what's been happening in their marriage for a while now. The couple – or soon to be ex-couple – have been battling marriage issues, and Nida being in prison won't help with that at all.

"The Real Housewives of Atlanta" Season 7 will be back this fall.
