Amiyah Scott made the news earlier in 2015 when she was included in the cast for "Real Housewives of Atlanta" season 8. Being a transgender woman, having her in the series would be huge for Bravo.

However, the brunette beauty only filmed a few scenes with the housewives and announced on Dec. 28, 2015 her departure from the series.

Scott explained her decision to join the Bravo reality series but revealed that she won't be coming back to the show.

According to Scott's post on Instagram, she didn't join "Real Housewives of Atlanta" just so she could make money out of it. Instead, she joined because she wanted to spread a positive message regarding the transgender community.

"... me filming with the #RealHousewivesOfAtlanta was not for attention, but to assist in breaking a stereotype," Scott wrote.

"Trans women are not only sex objects or prostitutes. We are strong, educated & human just like everyone else," she continued.

Following Scott's announcement, "Real Housewives of Atlanta" star Kandi Burruss expressed her sadness over her co-star's departure.

"I hate that it didn't work out. I enjoyed taping with you the few times we did tape. Bigger and better things ahead in your future," Burruss wrote on Instagram.

While Scott wrote about quitting the series, there's a different side to the story, according to Bravo producers, TMZ gathered. The news outlet reported that "Real Housewives of Atlanta" producers say that they were done with Scott.

Producers said that Scott brings nothing interesting to the series, which is why she had to be let go, an insider told the news outlet.

Whether Scott quit the show or the producers just had enough of her presence, it doesn't really matter because she got the opportunity to be in the popular TV series, considering she is also the first trans woman to be featured. In addition, Scott has been included by Lee Daniels as a cast member for a new TV show.

As for the "Real Housewives of Atlanta," the drama continues to be intense. All new episodes air Sundays at 8 p.m. EST on Bravo TV.
