'RHOA' star Cynthia Bailey responds to husband's video

Cynthia Bailey of "The Real Housewives of Atlanta" is setting the record straight. Last week, an incriminating video of her husband Peter Thomas getting too close to another woman hit social media, and she said that although she's embarrassed by the video, there's no truth to rumors of a divorce.

"My marriage is not perfect," Bailey told Us Weekly. "We're going to deal with this issue as husband and wife."

According to the website, the video was obtained by the ShadeRoom, and it shows Thomas grazing another woman's cheek while talking to her at his bar, Bar One in Atlanta. The short clip instantly sparked rumors that he is being unfaithful.

On Tuesday, June 16, Thomas posted a video on Instagram denying the cheating rumors. The video, which has since been deleted, showed the bar owner complaining that there's talk all over Instagram that makes him look like a cheater. He went on to say that the video is not what it seems and that he was merely talking to a friend of his at the club.

"Looks crazy — I know it does, so I'm apologizing to my wife. I'm apologizing to my two beautiful daughters…daddy's not a cheater," Thomas continued.

In her statement to Us Weekly, Bailey said that most marriages go through their challenges and that she and Thomas are no exception. While she acknowledged that she felt that the video was "inappropriate and embarrassing," the former model said that she stands by her husband and that they are going to work on this together.

"I expect him to expect full accountability for his actions," said the "RHOA" star. "We are coming up on our five-year wedding anniversary and we will deal with this situation as husband and wife. I appreciate everyone's well wishes and concerns."

Bailey joined the hit Bravo franchise during its third season in 2010. She has a 16-year-old daughter from a former relationship with actor Leon Robinson.
