It is public knowledge that Joe and Teresa Giudice will serve prison time. At first, the couple faced their legal battles hand-in-hand; but over time, the mutual support seems to have waned.  Currently, it is as though the couple isn't in good terms anymore.  It is even rumored that they are headed for divorce.

According to Radar Online, the couple has grown distant from one another due to their legal troubles. It was evident during their courthouse appearance last Thursday.

"Joe had his hand on her back once for a few seconds, but other than that, they did not touch and they took breaks separately with their legal teams, too," the source said. "They barely interacted or even looked at each other... they were so distant."

Apparently, Teresa is furious with Joe, and feels like she was screwed over with the whole fiasco.

"Teresa looked really angry at Joe when the court was discussing the lack of transparency in their financial disclosures. When that part came out, she just looked totally incredulous, shocked and stared at him like she wanted to rip his face off," the source told Radar.

Who wouldn't be fuming mad? Teresa trusted her husband when she was allegedly asked to do something. Little did she know that the hundreds of thousands of dollars coming into their bank accounts were due to bankruptcy, wire and mail fraud, to which the couple pled guilty in court.

Teresa was sentenced to 15 months in jail, while Joe was sentenced to 41 months, according to New York Daily News. Both of them were judged guilty of fraudulent mortgage and constructions loans amounting to $5 million. Joe is also deemed guilty of tax fraud. Further, the two will have to pay up $414,588 restitution. Aside from the jail time, both will have two years' probation before they are released from prison.

As if the prison time and restitution payment aren't enough, Teresa was ordered by the court to serve her time first. Joe will be the one to care for the kids while Teresa is in prison.
