'Real Housewives of Orange County' news: Shannon Beador reveals details about her separation from husband

"Real Housewives of Orange County" season 12 reunion delved into a rather somber note as cast member Shannon Beador opened up about the state of her marriage with David Beador. The revelations were not without optimistic insight, however, as she reflected that things will get better for her and her three daughters in the near future.

It's no secret that Shannon and David have been struggling with their marriage; this was apparent the whole season. Still, when reunion host Andy Cohen asked Shannon about it, her candid response still caught everyone by surprise.

"I knew this day was coming and I thought that I would be prepared, but David and I are not together anymore," she told Cohen, also adding that she moved to her old place five weeks ago.

She recounted how it happened. When the whole family, with daughters Sophie, Stella, and Adeline, were on a trip in Hawaii, David left for home early. It was when Shannon and the children got home that her now ex-husband dropped the bombshell: "We're done." David's mind was already fixed and for him, the relationship was already over.

It was clear that the marriage was already rocky, but David's decision still caught Shannon off guard. She even recalled to David that they had "a couple of good years," but her ex-husband's reply was disheartening: David said that they only had "a couple of good months." Shannon could only cry at this, saying that the response was "a knife in the heart."

Shannon was comforted by her fellow cast members throughout the ordeal. In the reunion that aired on Nov. 20, even Vicki Gunvalson stated that Shannon is not alone and she has a bunch of friends from "The Real Housewives of Orange County."

In addition, fans were not shy in expressing their support for Shannon. Many tweeted how they empathized with the woman and praised her for being brave enough to speak out.
