In the hopes of having a better campaign next season, Manchester United reportedly offered a massive £110 million bid to acquire midfielder Gareth Bale and defender Raphaël Varane although it was rejected by Real Madrid.

Despite the rejection, United will not give up according to the International Business Times and will prepare another offer which will include goalkeeper David de Gea.

De Gea is strongly being linked to a move to Real Madrid but has not spoken anything about his future yet, but according to reports the 24-year-old already bade farewell to teammates at Old Trafford.

Bale is being linked with Manchester United after another disappointing season with Real Madrid and is being targeted by fans for his performance, The Independent reported.

The 25-year-old became part of Real in September 2013 for £85 million and has scored 17 goals in all his appearances.

There is also an issue with Bale's relationship with Real star Cristiano Ronaldo, The Telegraph reported.

According to Jonathan Barnett, Bale's agent, his client's career is being jeopardized in Real Madrid because his teammates are not passing to him.

"Real have to work with Gareth and pass the ball to him more. Give him more of the ball and let him show everybody what he's good at," Barnett said according to The Independent.

"He's going to be the best player at Real Madrid when his team-mates work with him and help him. Hopefully Real will come to terms with this," he added.

Meanwhile along with Manchester United, Chelsea is also showing interest in landing Varane.

Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho is interested in acquiring the 22-year-old French defender who he signed when he was still with Real Madrid and will be John Terry's replacement, the International Business Times reported.

The Telegraph reported that Real would not be doing any moves until Rafael Benitez is introduced as the club's new manager.
