Real Madrid president Florentino Perez is confident that their bid is enough to bring in this summer Manchester United goalkeeper David de Gea who reportedly turned down an offer that will earn him £200,000-a-week to stay at Old Trafford.

United's offer is a record deal for a goalkeeper as the club hopes to make De Gea stay but according to the Daily Mail's report, he already bade farewell to his Manchester United teammates.

Manchester United manager Louis van Gaal said he will let the 24-year-old decide but De Gea has been elusive when asked about his future destination.

"We will see what happens regarding my future. Right now I'm on holiday," De Gea said according to the Daily Mail.

United has been pursuing Tottenham goalkeeper Hugo Lloris in case De Gea leaves but Hotspur manager Mauricio Pochettino said that the French goalie will not be going to Old Trafford and that is just a rumor, according to the Daily Express.

Once De Gea makes the move, he is expected to be the answer to Madrid's problem with struggling goalkeeper Iker Casillas who still has an undetermined future with the club but received a number of offers from European squads.

Along with the clubs bidding for the 34-year-old Real Madrid captain, Besiktas is one of the frontrunners as reported by Marca.

With all signs pointing to De Gea joining Madrid, Perez still has some names in mind that he wants to include to the club.

In a report by the International Business Times, Manchester City forward Sergio Agüero who led the Premier League with 26 goals is one of Perez's targets but according to The Guardian, City is confident that he will not leave to join Real Madrid.

Liverpool's budding 20-year-old midfielder and forward Raheem Sterling is also one of the players linked to Madrid.
