Rebecca St. James Nominated for Christian Book Award

|PIC1|Following Rebecca St. James’ recent International tour, which took her to over 11 European nations, the popular GRAMMY-winning Christian singer returned to the States and was nominated for a Christian Book award.

Her latest book, SHE TEEN, released in 2005 by Tyndale has been accorded the honour of being a top finalist at the Evangelical Christian Publishers Association ‘2006 Christian Book Awards'.

SHE TEEN has received high attention on its' release for its' unique high gloss "bookzine" format and uncompromising standards on ‘safe, healthy, and empowered' living for teen girls through the life application of biblical principals. Formerly the Gold Medallion Award, the nod from ECPA is Christian publishing's highest honour.

Noted Cheryl Kerwin, Marketing Manager of Tyndale House Publishers: "This is the most prestigious award you can win in the Christian book industry. To have SHE TEEN chosen as one of five titles nominated out of all the titles submitted, is a tremendous compliment to the book's value and to the work of Rebecca and her co-author, Lynda Hunter Bjorklund."

"In writing the book, it was my hope that it would be well received and become a practical tool for teen girls struggling with the pressures of the culture. To be recognised by ECPA for this effort is both very humbling and re-affirming to a young author."

In June, St. James shared the stage with BarlowGirl in Holland at the annual EO Youth Day-which attracted a crowd of more than 32,000 concert-goers for her headlining performance at the Gelredome Stadium near Amsterdam.

Noted Tim Dik, Music Director of EO: "Rebecca's concert was extremely well received-she and EO are a perfect match! She is a lovely person and great artist-I am looking for every opportunity to work her her again in the near future."
