Even with scarce information on Rockstar Games' and Take-Two Interactive's  "Red Dead Redemption 2", there may be hope that the game could be released by next year based on an email sent by an anonymous former employee of the studio.

The email —which was sent to website Frag Hero — indicated that the game could be released sometime in fall 2017.

The tipster also said that none of the earlier speculated titles are true as the game will be released as "Read Dead Redemption 2: Legends of the West."

It would come as good news for fans that the game will adopt a feature from "Grand Theft Auto." The rumored sequel will now have more than one playable character. It will also cover a far wider open world setting than its predecessors.

As an additional treat for those who may want to revisit the first game in the series before delving into the sequel is the revelation that "Red Dead Redemption" is also being remastered by the studio.

While the studio has remained mum about most details, the email stated that the game has been in development for four years now. If this is the case, then the studio deserves much credit for keeping things under wraps and further fueling the excitement of the fans about the sequel.

In a report by Game and Guide, Strauss Zelnick — Take-Two Interactive CEO — has assured fans that they should keep calm and simply await developments as "Red Dead Redemption" is a permanent franchise and its sequel is a given.

Based on the report, there may be multiplayer feature in the works for the sequel as well as a new landmark called Kahuta, which appears similar to Pakistan. The report stated that the Roanoke Valley that will be featured in the game will be a replica of the original so fans are sure to be excited over this possibility, as well as the idea of exploring this terrain.

Pending official announcement from Take Two Interactive and Rockstar Games, however, all these are still considered speculation.
