While PlayStation and Xbox users are already waiting for the release of "Red Dead Redemption 2," those who would like to play the game on PC are still waiting for Rockstar Games to include them in their release plan.

An online petition had been started on Change.org to encourage the game developer to launch a PC edition of the "Red Dead Redemption" sequel. A total of 50,000 signatures are needed to back up the petition, but it was already signed by 43,918 supporters in just a month.

Rockstar Games has yet to comment about the ongoing online petition for a "Red Dead Redemption 2" PC edition. However, MobiPicker pointed out that the game developer might still be contemplating about its marketability based on the release of their other popular title, "Grand Theft Auto," since its PC edition did not fare as much as its console editions during its first month in the market.

Meanwhile, Take-Two CEO Strauss Zelnick revealed in an interview with Express UK that players should look forward to seeing the sequel come out with an exceptional story and gameplay elements with an "incredible emotional depth."

Zelnick also explained why it is ideal to release the sequel six years after the original "Red Dead Redemption" game came out.

According to the Take-Two executive, coming up with a game based on the Western culture was unconventional during that time. But the concept worked based on the success of the first game. "When we launched Red Dead, it did. And those times were right for that. And I think the times are right for a big, sprawling, optimistic view of America again - and that's not meant to be cute," Zelnick stated.

Rockstar Games is planning to release "Red Dead Redemption 2" sometime in fall 2017, but other details about the game are still being kept under wraps.
