The fans are very much excited to see "Red Dead Redemption 2" playing in their consoles, although Rockstar Games has yet to give a definite release date for the title. The studio was supposed to release new open world game sequel last year, only to be postponed to a vague Spring 2018 release window. However, a new information regarding the game's release was spotted off an online retailer shop, suggesting a June 8th launch.

As reported by WCCFTech, the "Red Dead Redemption 2" may be released earlier than the Spring 2018 launch set by Rockstar Games. This is because of the latest game listing from the Danish retailer CoolShop, which indicates that the upcoming "Red Dead" sequel will be out as early as June 8 for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One consoles.

The online publication raised the possibility that the tentative June 8th release of "RDR2" might just be a placeholder date, although it is worth noting that CoolShop revealed the correct release dates of the PS4 and Xbox One versions of "Grand Theft Auto V," also a Rockstar title. With this, there is a chance that the online retailer has an insider source within the studio, which is feeding information regarding the latest Rockstar video games' arrival.

Still, it might be too early for the fans to expect that the June 8th release of "Red Dead Redemption 2" will hold true for long. According to Tech Radar, CoolShop has recently sent a statement regarding the game listing displayed on its website. The retailer claims that it would be best to contact the publisher of the game to get the "most accurate and up-to-date information," including the sequel's exact release date. The website of CoolShop has notably removed the month of release of "Red Dead Redemption 2," which now only indicates a 2018 launch.

It is possible that CoolShop, just like every other video game retailers, only placed a random release date for "Red Dead Redemption 2." The retailer can always change the information in the listing once the game publisher made the official announcement regarding the release date.

The first trailer of "Red Dead Redemption 2" stated that the sequel would be available in May 2017, but due to unspecified circumstances, the studio had to postpone the game's release to 2018. Rockstar said that "some extra time is necessary" to provide the best quality of entertainment for the fans.
