Regional training day for counsellors and pastoral carers

|PIC1|The Association of Christian Counsellors (ACC) West Midlands and East Anglia regions are delighted to announce a full programme of expert speakers for their next regional training day:

Date: 14 October 2006

Venue: The Church at Junction 10, Walsall. (Walsall Evangelistic Centre. See “notes to editors” below for full venue details and booking information.)

Time: 1000 - 1630

This training day will be of interest to all Christian counsellors and pastoral carers. The day, which covers a broad range of topics, will comprise of four workshops:

• Pastoral skills: led by Joan Wragg, director of Pastoral Care for ACC.

• Body Image & eating disorders: led by Wendy Haslam - founder of the Still Waters counselling & training organisation in Somerset.

• A Christian understanding of psychodynamic counselling: led by Ruth Iley a professional Christian psychodynamic counsellor & trainer.

• How to discern where God might be asking you to go next as a counsellor: A reflective workshop led by Paula Smith, counsellor, supervisor and trainer, who is also now working as a minister in the Anglican church.

“Our ongoing programme of training days is very important, and this is no exception, providing excellent workshops that will enhance the knowledge of counsellors and pastoral carers who attend,” says Andy Nott, West Midlands regional representative for the ACC. “It will also provide a great networking opportunity for counsellors and pastoral carers.”

Cost: For registrations before 1st September 2006 a place will cost £30 for ACC members & £35 for non-members. Registrations after 1st September will be £35 for members & £40 for non-members.
