The second half of "Reign" season 2 has yet to start next week, but the succeeding episodes after the midseason premiere prove that more mysteries surrounding the French court will unravel in the coming weeks. 

In "Reign" season 2, more shocking surprises will be revealed. The official synopsis for the twelfth episode titled "Banished" reads: 

Mary (Adelaide Kane) finds out the truth from Greer (Celina Sinden) about rumors going around Court, forcing Mary to do something she never thought possible. Francis (Toby Regbo) finds himself in a growing rivalry with Condé (Sean Teale) for Mary. Bash's (Torrance Coombs) mother Diane (guest star Anna Walton) returns, igniting a long overdue confrontation with Catherine (Megan Follows), while Claude (Rose Williams) is determined to find out the truth about who really killed the twins." 

The next two episodes from the midseason premiere of "Reign's" second season will tackle the love triangle between Francis, Mary, and Condé, while the Queen of France is still recovering emotionally from the wreckage of the attacks because of the Protestants. What will Greer tell her to be able to incite the said reaction? 

It will also be interesting to find out how Mary and Francis will deal with their breakup. She is still blaming the King for what happened between her and the angry Protestants before the midseason finale, prompting her to hate her husband. 

Meanwhile, fans will finally find out what really happened to the twins that prompted their death. All this time, Claude was blamed for their demise, but the truth about their death will be revealed in the coming episode. Will Catherine believe Claude's claims once she finds out who killed her sisters? 

"Reign" season 2 returns on air on The CW for its 11th episode titled "Getaway" on Jan. 22, while episode 12 airs on Jan. 29.
