Finally, the promo pic for Reign season 2 has been unveiled by The CW.

Together with the caption, "Our newly reigning power couple exposes the sultry side of royalty. #Reign,"the new season promises shocking twists that fans were not expecting to see.

Several season two spoilers were released by TV Line recently. Some of them came from series creator herself Laurie McCarthy.

According to McCarthy, there is a big chance that Clarissa may still be around the corner. "It's distinctly possible that she's alive," the show's executive producer/writer teased.

Though what she said was a little bit vague, it still stirred up excitement among the show's viewers.

If someone were to return from the grave, the fans were actually thinking that it will be King Henry. However, the king seems to be gone forever. Still, McCarthy promised that his influence will still be felt throughout the season.

In addition, the showrunner mentioned that an additional character named Narcisse will be introduced this season. He will be portrayed by "Spartacus" actor Craig Parker. Based on reports, Narcisse will be a potential suitor of Queen Catherine.

"He lives in an age where life is cheap, and he'll trade lives to get what he wants," McCarthy narrated. "He has a complicated past and an intriguing romantic future."

In addition, there will be tons of other storylines explored this season. One of them is the so-called "tested" marriage between Bash and Kenna, the complicated "quadrangle" between Greer and Leith, as well as the dilemma that Francis and Mary have to face now that Lola has a child with him.

Also, the fans will definitely find out the real identity of Yvette during the first few episodes of the season, and it will have some very unexpected twists.

Reign season 2 premiere episode will air on Oct. 2 on The CW network.
