Rend Collective Experiment tell the story behind their next album

The Rend Collective Experiment are just weeks away from the release of their highly anticipated sophomore.

Homemade Worship By Handmade People is out on January 9 from Kingsway.

If you can't wait that long, they've given a taster in the form of a video explaining the making of the album.

The video, which can be viewed at www.youtube.com/watch, features clips of five new songs.

This video explains how Rend Collective Experiment operates like a collection, or family of musicians.

Collaboration is at the heart of the band, and as the Rend Collective puts it, “part of our DNA [is] that we are not exclusive.”

In that spirit, Rend Collective asked people from all over the world to send in a video if they felt part of the collective. Here’s a video that incorporates a few of those responses (including a clip from Tim Hughes): www.youtube.com/watch

Homemade Worship By Handmade People was recorded and produced by Rend Collective in Irish church halls and homes.

Fans can expect themes of redemption, devotion and celebration in the new album.
