For almost two decades, the "Resident Evil" franchise was regarded as a popular horror survival video game ever since it was first released in 1996. In 2005, however, "Resident Evil 4" was released, changing the face of the video game by giving its loyal followers a new mission: to rescue the President's daughter.

Because of advancements in technology, fans have been clamoring to have "Resident Evil 4" released in new video game consoles like the PlayStation 4 and the Xbox One. Well, gamers will not have to wait for long because its producer, Capcom, confirmed that the popular rescue game will be released in PS4 and Xbox One in two months' time.

In a blog post, Capcom social media specialist Tim Turi revealed that "Resident Evil 4" will arrive on PS4 and Xbox One on August 30.

The Capcom official also revealed that the release of "Resident Evil 4" in these video game consoles will include "all the bonus content from the original game, as well as additional features that were added in later versions."

Among the additional features is a side story for one of the game's most mysterious and elusive characters, Ada Wong. According to Turi, Wong's story is expected to fill in "intriguing story gaps."

The "Resident Evil 4" incarnation for PS4 and Xbox One will also include the Mercenaries Mode, which can be played by gamers who manage to complete the campaign. Turi said this mode can be "addicting," providing players with hours of replayability and allows fans to play as iconic characters like Wesker and Hunk.

"Resident Evil 4" also features what Turi calls "some of the most satisfying New Game Plus action ever," which gives video game players the options to unlock costumes and powerful secret weapons they can equip their characters with, giving fresh playthrough for the game.

The Xbox One and PS4 version will also allow gamers to give Ashley a knight armor costume so that the character can ably protect herself.
