"Resident Evil 5" for both the Xbox One and PS4 will be coming out this year and as stated in a report from IGN, the Xbox Store listing reveals that the game will be coming out as early as June 28.

The game will reportedly cost $20 and will include all of the original DLC packs such as "Lost in Nightmares" and "Desperate Escape." Versus Mode, Mercenary United Mode and the No Mercy Mode from the PC will also be included in the update release. The game will also come with 1080p-resolution support.

However, the date was only listed for the Xbox One and this is solely for the digital version of the game. According to a report from Eurogamer, the June 28 release date will also be for the PS4 version of the game. A physical disc edition of "Resident Evil 5" will be released the next month, reportedly with a July 12 release date.

The report also points out that the No Mercy mode, which was previously only for the PC version of the game, will be updated to take advantage of the additional power of the PS4 and Xbox One. With this in mind, the game mode will now feature an even larger horde of zombies that will attack the player.

According to the report, the U.S. will be getting both the digital and physical retail versions of "Resident Evil 5." There are no guarantees yet that Europe will get the physical retail version but the digital release is expected to launch at the same time as the US' release.

It is also stated that since "Resident Evil 6" has been ported to the PS4 and Xbox One, and with "Resident Evil 5" coming out this June and "Resident Evil 4" set to see a port in fall, it is speculated that Capcom may be preparing gamers for "Resident Evil 7."
