A mysterious voice was heard in the latest trailer for "Resident Evil 7: Biohazard," hinting that someone will make a surprise return in the upcoming survival horror game.

The promo trailer posted on Twitter came with a caption saying: "That voice ... who could it be?" This started the rumors that a character from past installments will return in the 11th game of the popular "Resident Evil" franchise.

According to GameSpot, one of the characters that comes to mind after the release of the trailer is Ada Wong, the Chinese-American private agent. But the report also claimed that the voice could belong to Sheva Alomar, the Bioterrorism Security Assessment Alliance agent who appeared in "Resident Evil 5."

But instead of shedding light on the identity of the caller, Biohazard released another trailer showing one of the playable characters extracting a shotgun from an item box and then placing it into the player's grid-type inventory list.

This trailer revealed that the inventory of "Resident Evil 7: Biohazard" will be similar with the one introduced in "Resident Evil 4." This means players must shuffle and rotate their weapons and other possessions before slotting them into a fixed grid.

Also, the trailer revealed a new location that was not seen in the previous teasers for the upcoming game. In the new trailer, the item box is stored in a hut that is located within a swampy area.

"Resident Evil 7: Biohazard" will feature the adventures of the new protagonist, Ethan. He is reportedly out to find the whereabouts of his missing wife, which leads him towards a dilapidated plantation owned by the odd and dangerous Baker family.

Games Radar revealed that another update for the "Resident Evil 7: Beginning Hour" demo will be released by Capcom before the game officially comes out on the market on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC on Jan. 24, 2017.
