The second and final expansion pack for "Resogun," the 2013 released voxel-based side-scrolling game, will finally be out this week. A post on the official PlayStation blog reported that the "Resogun: Defenders" DLC will be available starting Feb. 17 in the U.S. and Feb. 18 in Europe.

The "Resogun: Defenders" DLC, reportedly set on an unknown planet, will bring a lot of new game features, including a couple of new modes, namely:

Protector Mode:

Defending the last group of human colonies, the Protector mode uses all the brand-new power-ups such as Super Boost, Teleport, as well as other automatic city defenses. Players are tasked to eliminate the enemy and bring as many humans as possible to their respective cities so that they can earn the rights to stay on the planet. It also has a brand new planet flip mechanic as well as environmental hazards including volcanic meteors that players should avoid while in combat.

Commando Mode

This mode lets players act as the Last Human who was left stranded in a far-away planet. They are armed with only a mini-gun for defense as they stage their combat directly against the Sentients during the last arcade revenge mode. Also, Commando supports single-player, co-operative and competitive Battle modes.

In another news, "Resogun" also released the latest content update called "Resogun Challengers." The Challengers Update is considered as the biggest content update for the game. It introduces a brand new leveling system where players need to earn Challenge Points that can be acquired by finishing different preset challenges that are offered all throughout the game.

"Resogun's" free update also brings the most requested Photo Mode that allows players to take screenshots while playing the game. There is also a human gallery to let the players check out the humans that they have saved.
