Fans of NeNe Leakes were surprised after the reality star announced earlier this year that she is leaving "The Real Housewives of Atlanta." Leakes has been a part of the Bravo show since its first season, and now, many are wondering if the reality series will be as intriguing without the star and her sassy catch phrases.

Speaking to Huffington Post, Leakes said that she has no regrets leaving the show because she isn't one to dwell on the past.

"I love Bravo. They are my family…I wish all the girls the best," she told the website.

The 47-year old revealed that she "will always work with them in [a] certain capacity" as she wants to ensure that the show remains successful.

"I've done it for a very long time so I wanna have my hand in it somehow. I want it to stay successful," said Leakes.

That being said, the star said that she's doing well post "RHOA" and that she's happy to be free from the negativity. Back in season 7, Leakes complained that the ladies seemed to be picking on her and were constantly creating unnecessary drama.

She told CBS, "I feel like I'm happier. When you work in a lot of negativity, it becomes a part of who you are and I feel like I'm getting back to me, myself and I."

Next year, Leakes will be returning to television on a game show called "To Tell the Truth". She will be part of the panel along with Betty White and Jalen Rose, and the show will be hosted by Anthony Anderson.

"It's going to be an amazing show," she said. "It comes out in the new year."

And it looks like Leakes is also about to embark in a new project which involves some singing. On Tuesday, Oct. 13, the reality star took to Twitter to post a picture of her singing while being accompanied on the piano by vocal coach Eric Vetro. Vetro has worked with a lot of famous singers including Katy Perry, Pink, Meghan Trainor, and Ariana Grande.

"Vocal lessons this morning in LA for my next project with 1 of the best in the bizz #ericvetro," Leakes tweeted.
