"Rick and Morty" season 3 has a whole new set of upcoming adventures for the Smiths, and one of their exploits will bring them to Hawaii. Aside from Rick and Morty's new escapades, season 3 will put Beth and Jerry's marriage to the test.

To recap the "Rick and Morty" season 2 finale, Rick was imprisoned by someone from the Federal Government. It is rumored that his grandkids — Summer and Morty — will be the ones to break him out of prison.

Den of Geek reports that Rick will be fine. According to series creator Dan Harmon, his problem regarding his imprisonment will soon be resolved at the start of "Rick and Morty" season 3.

Rick's immediate escape from prison means that the rest of the season will be reserved for more "Rick and Morty" adventures, and one of these will take them to Hawaii. Harmon said, "It's time to demand that the network allows us to draw the characters going to Hawaii."

Aside from the expected trip to Hawaii, Beth and Jerry's marriage will be discussed in season 3. GamenGuide reports that the season will focus on their rocky marriage, which could be going towards the direction of a divorce.

It was shown in the previous seasons of "Rick and Morty" that Beth and Jerry always had a problematic marriage, with Beth being unhappy when she had to give up her dreams of becoming a surgeon after her marriage to her unhelpful husband, Jerry. They will face more problems in the upcoming season now that Jerry managed to get hired by the person who ordered Rick's imprisonment.

A few recurring characters might be appearing again in "Rick and Morty" season 3, such as Mr. Poopybutthole and Birdperson. But the most awaited character to return is Mr. Meeseeks.

Harmon and co-creator Justin Roiland are currently developing a great story for the episode featuring Mr. Meeseeks' return.

"Rick and Morty" season 3 is speculated to premiere in April 2017.
