Mr. Meeseeks may not be the only recurring character to appear in "Rick and Morty" season 3. According to some spoilers, chances are viewers will once again see Evil Morty to take his place as the animated series' biggest villain.

Soon after creator Dan Harmon told The Hollywood Reporter that they were planning to "revisit stuff" from the past installment and consider including them in season 3, news of Evil Morty's triumphant return has made rounds on the Internet. According to Movie Pilot, bringing back the character will be an exciting "change of tack" for the show. The last time viewers saw him was when he joined a throng of Rick-less Mortys being taken away on enormous starships. He has shed his distinctive eye-patch, which was revealed to be a transmitter, to blend in.

Co-creator Justin Roiland has previously revealed that the goofy Mr. Meeseeks would reappear in season 3. He said in the interview that he has made a personal promise to himself to make the character's return possible in season 3. The tall humanoid will once again return to make life easier for the person who bought him. Which character will own the adorable blue creature this time?

Meanwhile, Harmon addressed the fans' question on whether season 3 would focus heavily on the aftermath of Rick's run-in with the Galactic Federation. According to him, they would not dwell that much on the said plotline, as it would be a bit boring for the viewers to watch.

"I don't think anybody wants to do a third season that simply spends a whole bunch of episodes dealing with a situation that we created at the end of the second season. So I think that's non-spoiler way of saying things should be okay pretty quickly," he said, according to Inverse.

"Rick and Morty" season 3 is expected to air in 2017.
