A new downloadable mode has been released for "Rise of the Tomb Raider" allowing players to take on the extra challenge of keeping Lara Croft fed and warm. A video posted by AGB videos shows the new downloadable release, which is an Endurance Mode.

The endurance mode allows for a more challenging gameplay, letting Lara Croft to experience hypothermia, hunger and other realistic problems that a normal person might face in the extreme conditions of Serbia, where the game setting is located.

This gives gamers the responsibility of finding food and the means to keep Croft warm as she continues her search for artefacts in the winter deserts. Wild animals, such as wolves and bears, ready to pounce and devour are also still present in the game play, as well as hostile human enemies.
