"Rise of the Tomb Raider" will finally be making its personal computer (PC) debut in January.

At least, that's what is expected to happen now after a listing for the game appeared on Steam.

"Rise of the Tomb Raider" has actually been out for a while now, although to this point, only Xbox One owners have been able to play it since it was a timed exclusive for the console.

Initially, GameSpot reported that there was some confusion regarding the game and whether it would eventually make its way to other platforms, although the news about the new Steam listing would seem to put those worries to rest.

Unfortunately, there's still an important detail that remains unknown about the actual launch of "Rise of the Tomb Raider" for the PC. More specifically, there's no exact release date that's been announced for it as of yet.

Both Square Enix and Crystal Dynamics have yet to confirm a specific date for the launch of the PC version of "Rise of the Tomb Raider" and the listing only specifies the month.

Recently, an Amazon France listing spotted by Geek.com suggested that the PC version of "Rise of the Tomb Raider" would be released on Jan. 29, 2016, although that bit of information remains unofficial.

Cinema Blend also did some digging and discovered that the listing for the game on SteamDB, otherwise known as Steam Database, indicated that the game is set for a Jan. 1, 2016 launch. That's not a confirmed date either, and the website even notes that it may just be a placeholder.

Still, news that "Rise of the Tomb Raider" is finally heading to PCs should be a relief to fans who have been patiently waiting for its arrival.

Unfortunately, PlayStation 4 owners will have to wait a bit longer, as "Rise of the Tomb Raider" is not expected to be released for that console until next year's holiday season.
