Microsoft has been building the hype for the upcoming timed-exclusive "Rise of the Tomb Raider" and released details about upcoming launch content for the title.

According to Xbox Wire, the game is now available for digital pre-orders in the Xbox Store, and with purchases come bonuses. Players who pre-order the title can choose between two bundles – one is an exclusive bonus downloadable content pack dubbed the Remnant Resistance Pack, and a premium one containing a copy of "Rise of the Tomb Raider," the Remnant Resistance Pack, and a Season Pass for the game.

In an interview, "Rise of the Tomb Raider" creative director Noah Hughes said that the Remnant Resistance Pack contains an all-new Remnant outfit for Lara Croft, the main protagonist of the series. The outfit is not a mere costume, however. Aside from a collection of animal skins, the gear also contains Byzantine armor, giving Lara a bandage boost without using her resources. In addition to the armor costume, the DLC pack also includes the Moon Shadow Handgun skin and a rare Bullet Resistance foil card, which when used gives the main character extra resistance against bullets.

Meanwhile, players who will pre-order the more premium package of the title will receive a Season Pass, which will allow access to post-launch content. Hughes laid out what "Rise of the Tomb Raider" has in store for players who have the Season Pass, saying, "Three major releases will challenge you to survive the extreme conditions of Endurance Mode, explore a new tomb that houses an ancient terror in Baba Yaga: The Temple of the Witch, and combat waves of infected predators in Cold Darkness Awakened."

Hughes added, "A steady stream of outfits, weapons, and Expedition Cards beginning on Day 1 and continuing over four months will keep you customizing, expanding, and challenging your friends to new adventures. We'll have more to share on all of the major releases coming via the Season Pass in the coming weeks and months, but fans are really going to enjoy it."

"Rise of the Tomb Raider" will launch as a year-round exclusive for the Xbox on Nov. 10, which means that the PS4 version will land sometime in the last months of 2016. Meanwhile, Square Enix has confirmed that the PC version will roll out early next year.
