With the 20th anniversary of the game coming out on the PlayStation 4 (PS4) soon, the video game "Rise of the Tomb Raider" will have upgraded gameplay images for the upcoming PS4 Pro.

During this year's PlayStation Meeting, game publisher Square Enix and developer Crystal Dynamics released a new trailer for the upcoming PS4 version of "Rise of the Tomb Raider." The footage features gameplay in 4K resolution that will be fully enjoyed when the game runs on the upcoming PlayStation 4 Pro.

It is also confirmed that, aside from having 4K gameplay for the PS4 Pro, the upcoming "Rise of the Tomb Raider: 20 Year Celebration" will also offer other optimized graphics settings for both the PS4 Pro and the original PlayStation 4 console. The high-quality graphics setting that's just below the 4K mode is the High Frame Rate Mode where the gameplay is locked at 1080p, although its framerate is unlimited. Meanwhile, the Enhanced Visuals mode lets the gamer play the title at 30 frames per second and 1080p resolution.

In addition to the optimized PS4 Pro gameplay settings, the game's launch will also unlock other features for players. The "Rise of the Tomb Raider: 20 Year Celebration" will add PlayStation VR support along with the Extreme Survivor difficulty mode, and a co-op Endurance mode. Bonus items, such as classic Lara skins, new outfits, and weapons, will be added to the game as well. All of the previously-released DLC expansions are also available on the new compendium.

It is also confirmed that, aside from the PS4 version, Xbox One and PC holders of the game's Season Pass can unlock the bonus items.

"Rise of the Tomb Raider: 20 Year Celebration" is scheduled to roll out for the PlayStation 4 on Oct. 11. Meanwhile, players who want to check out the optimized settings may need to wait a bit more, since the PlayStation 4 Pro is scheduled to launch almost a month after, on Nov. 10.
