The young explorer Lara Croft will venture on yet another perilous journey in "Rise of the Tomb Raider," which is currently in development by Crystal Dynamics. Since Microsoft will be co-publishing the title along with Square Enix, gamers can expect that the game will be timed exclusive to the Xbox 360 and Xbox One. While the release date can happen anytime between October and December, the game publishing studio has not given a confirmed date as to when the game will be arriving for the remainder of the platforms.

The game environment where Lara will be groomed to become an even more adept survivor will be Siberia. Accompanying the protagonist is Jonah Maiava, who is most likely going to be another explorer who will go with Lara on the expedition. The studio has not leaked any details regarding the true motive of the individual.

As far as gameplay features are concerned, "Rise of the Tomb Raider" will feature a new crafting system that will be far more diversified than what gamers experienced in the previous title. While the core element of upgrading existing weapons and items will be executed by scavenging other materials, players will be given more freedom concerning the kind of items they can craft in order to tip the odds in their favor during survival and combat-related situations.

In addition, the in-game environment will be improved compared to its predecessor, and the new weather system will directly affect players as well as the hostile AI encountered in the game. The change in weather will allow players to switch to different tactics in order to complete the primary objective.

Currently, the only evidence that "Rise of the Tomb Raider" will be released during the Holiday 2015 season was given at the Microsoft's Gamescom 2014 briefing. Apart from that, gamers will have to remain vigilant during this period if they want to get their hands on the title.
