In the previous episode of "Riverdale," the killer of Jason Blossom (Trevor Stines) was revealed and it was none other than Jason's father, Clifford Blossom (Barclay Hope). But what happens to the rest of the characters in the season finale of "Riverdale" now that the mystery has been solved?

It is likely that more drama will occur during the season finale of "Riverdale." Betty (Lili Reinhart) will finally confront her mother for pretending as if nothing happened after her and her friends were the ones to reveal who the killer was.

Meanwhile, viewers will witness the romance between Archie (KJ Apa) and Veronica (Camila Mendes) get stronger. Meanwhile, Veronica's mom, Hermione (Marisol Nichols), will give Archie's dad, Fred (Luke Perry), an offer that he would not be able to resist.

After the suicide of her father, Cheryl (Madelaine Petsch) will be left to come up with a plan to salvage their family business since the truth about their business was revealed in the previous episode. Having the entire Blossom family business in her hands will put a lot of pressure on Cheryl.

The promo trailer for the season finale begins with Alice Cooper (Mädchen Amick) telling Betty, "There are some secrets that are so painful, you not only hide them from the world, but you hide them from yourself." This is probably her response to Betty confronting her about not talking about what happened in the previous episodes.

The next scenes look into Archie and Fred talking to each other in their kitchen, while Jughead (Cole Sprouse) thinks about his own father, F.P (Skeet Ulrich), who's shown sitting in his jail cell.

More mysteries will be revealed in the season finale as more commotion between the characters arises, as seen in the trailer. The clip ends with Archie punching the ground, while Veronica, Jughead and Betty stand behind him in tears.

"Riverdale's" season finale, which will be called "The Sweet Hereafter," is scheduled to air on Thursday, May 11, at 9 p.m. EDT on The CW.
