"Riverdale" season 1 is nearing its finale and things are about to go darker. When the show returns after its current two-week break, it will soon be revealed who killed the Blossom family's golden boy, Jason (Trevor Stines).

A teaser video for season 1 episode 11 has been released and it shows Polly (Tiera Skovbye) snooping around the Blossoms' mansion, trying to find clues that would lead to the discovery of her dead boyfriend's killer, as she had been suspecting that the family had something to do with it. She discovers a room full of wigs, and tells her sister Betty (Lili Reinhart) that while she may not have found proof yet, she knows that the Blossoms are definitely "hiding things."

The chaotic events shown in the video include Archie's (KJ Appa) mother asking him to come to Chicago with her as the town of Riverdale does not exactly feel safe anymore; Betty's heated argument with her mother; FP (Skeet Ulrich) being surrounded by cops; Veronica (Camila Mendes) expressing concern over Jughead (Cole Sprouse) getting dragged into some trouble that his father may have caused; and Cheryl (Madelaine Petsch) threatening Polly of a "rude awakening."

Meanwhile, in the official synopsis released for episode 12, it is said that Archie and Veronica have discovered something that they need to confess to their parents. Could this have something to do with the killer's identity? All of these teased events could hint that the biggest mystery of all, which is Jason's murder, is about to be unveiled.

Also, it looks like there is indeed truth to these speculations as Judghead actor Cole Sprouse spilled in an interview with A.V. Club that the revelation will happen before season 1 ends. He mentioned that the show's momentum "shifts so dramatically in intensity" after the 10th episode and when he was asked if such momentum is part of solving the mystery that surrounds Jason's death, he answered, "It needs to be said that we do resolve who killed Jason in season one. This is not like we're going to string it out for you guys over six seasons. Obviously the discovery of who killed Jason only throws more stones into the pond."

"Riverdale" season 1 will return on Thursday, April 27, at 9 p.m. EDT on The CW.
