Psyonix, the developer and publisher of the game "Rocket league," announced that it will have a tie-in with World Wrestling Entertainment Inc. (WWE) for 2018.

Devin Connors, Psyonix's Community Manager, announced the partnership on a post on the game's official website on Feb. 26. Connors said that players can expect to see "Rocket league" in the WWE universe. Players will be seeing more "Rocket League" related content on WWE's YouTube gaming channel, UpUpDownDown, which has more than 1.4 million subscribers with Austin Creed, also known as WWE Superstar Xavier Woods. Furthermore, "Rocket League" will be sponsoring live WWE events — "Rocket League" was present on the recent WWE's Elimination Chamber. Connors also announced that the vehicular soccer video game will be a partner of WrestleMania 34 in New Orleans on April 8 as "Rocket League" will be playable for attendees.

Connors announced that Psyonix will also be bringing WWE into the game. They will be offering in-game customization items in April for "Rocket League" players who are WWE fans. GameSpot reported that the WWE items that will be added to the game include wrestling-themed decals, flags alongside a possible inclusion of cars.

As GameSpot noted, this was not the first time "Rocket League" partnered up with other entertainment. In March 2017, "Rocket League" released a premium downloadable content (DLC) tie-up with the eighth installment of "The Fast and the Furious" franchise, "The Fate of the Furious," featuring the Ice Charger, a Dodge Charger driven by Dominic Toretto (Vin Diesel). In Feb. 2016, "Rocket League" announced its partnership with the film "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice," featuring Batman's Battle-Car. In Oct. 2015, "Rocket League" announced it tied-up with "Back to the Future," bringing the DeLorean Time Machine in the vehicular soccer video game.
