Game developer Psyonix just announced a new upcoming expansion pack for its goal-and-mayhem title, "Rocket League."

Posted on the official US PlayStation blog, Jeremy Dunham, vice president of marketing at Psyonix, said the upcoming DLC, dubbed as "Revenge of the Battle-Cars," will borrow heavily from and will be a kind of throwback to the original "Supersonic Acrobatic Rocket-Powered Battle-Cars" game. As with the previous "Supersonic Fury" DLC,  the upcoming expansion pack will include both paid and free content for "Rocket League" players.

The $4 paid content will get players the Scarab and the Zippy, two classic battle cars from the original "Supersonic Acrobatic Rocket-Powered Battle-Cars" title. In addition, the paid DLC pack contains other new items, including three paint types with Toon theme; the Accelerato and Battle-Stars rockets; the Cavalier, Locomotive, Pixelated Shades, and Shark Fin toppers; and two new antennas, Retro Balls taken from the original title.

For the two new battle cars, there will be two new wheels and 12 new decals – six for each new car. The "Revenge of the Battle-Cars" DLC will also add five new trophies for players to accomplish.

Meanwhile, the free content that will come with the DLC and will be available for all players include two variations for existing arenas — Urban Station (Night) and Utopia Coliseum (Dusk). Aside from the tweaked stages, players will also get new Community and Country flags and new background music tracks. In addition, the DLC will also come with updates that will continue to improve and enhance the game design, system, interface, and gameplay of "Rocket League."

Psyonix did not detail a specific release date when it announced the upcoming "Revenge of the Battle-Cars" DLC, but Dunham mentioned that the roll out window for the pack will be next month.
