In the eyes of many, Ronda Rousey is someone who is full of pride and someone who will never acknowledge the feat of others, especially if it is over her.

It has been a couple of months already since Rousey fell to Holly Holm at Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) 193, losing via vicious knockout that, apparently, rattled her back to reality. Rousey hasn't officially conversed with fans, but her "Saturday Night Live" hosting gig gave that opportunity.

Surprisingly her first order of business was to congratulate Holm, the new reigning UFC women's bantamweight champion.

"This is the first time I'm talking to my fans since I lost to Holly Holm in November, which, by the way, was a fight Holly deserved to win," Rousey said, as seen in a video clip from the show below. 

To some, Rousey's acknowledgement comes as a surprise because she does have a kind of attitude that would hardly expect her to do such a noble gesture of sportsmanship.

And while her message was done with all sincerity, there are, of course, those who believe that such is an act mainly because it's on national television. Regardless, it would be best to leave it at that and leave the vulture have their own assumptions.

The actual sincerity could be measured when both Rousey and Holm meet again later this year. Both are still expected to face off in a rematch, although the UFC needs to pray that Holm doesn't lose that title.

Holm will be facing Miesha Tate this March at UFC 197, something made to fill in for the extended absence of Rousey due to conflicts in her filming commitments. Included, of course, is her time away from the Octagon as she tries to settle down and get over that painful loss, both mentally and physically.
