Ronda Rousey next fight news: Amanda Nunes has her eye on Rowdy

UFC women bantamweight champion Amanda Nunes has her eye on Ronda Rousey and wants her to be the fighter she takes to the octagon next after brutally stealing the title from Miesha Tate last month.

During a fan Q&A held prior to UFC 201 at the Fox Theatre in Atlanta, Nunes called out Rowdy and hopes that they can duke it out at the Big Apple in UFC 205.

"I look for the biggest fights. Only Ronda Rousey, if she comes back. I'm ready for her and I want to make this fight for you guys. A big card in New York City – I hope so," she said, adding that she has been training jiu-jitsu and judo, so she is confident she can put Rowdy to sleep.

"I know, if Ronda Rousey comes back, I'm going to keep the belt. I'm going to beat Ronda Rousey and wait for the next. I'm going to prove everybody one more time I deserve to be here," she went on to say.

Rousey has shied away from responding to the series of call outs and taunts by other fighters like Cyborg Justino and Tate. Instead, she keeps her focus on preparing for her UFC debut, whenever that will happen.

Rowdy is serious in getting back out there and redeeming herself. In order to do so, Rousey's long-term trainer Edmond Tarverdyan revealed in an interview with People that the former champ trains six hours a day, six times a week.

Tarverdyan explained the course of the workout. It starts with Rowdy stretching hips, shoulders and knees and a "nice warm-up" to prevent injuries during training.

She then does 10 minutes of jump rope to boost her heart rate then does up to a dozen rounds of bag work. Rousey will then proceed to do 10 to 15 rounds of mitt work that each lasts five minutes.

The fighter then does arm exercises with 2-lb dumbbells then wraps up the intense workout by working her abs, which sometimes can be as extreme as 2,000 crunches.

Rousey is expected to be back this fall for the UFC 205. Whether or not it will be Nunes she fights, fans will have to wait and see for now.
