Ronda Rousey next fight rumors 2015: Miesha Tate believes rematch between Holly Holm and Rousey useless

Miesha Tate had the distinction of being the lone Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) women's fighter who was able to last longer than one minute against Ronda Rousey in the Octagon.

But all that was before Holly Holm defeated the former UFC women's bantamweight star. To recall, Holm knocked out Rousey last month at UFC 193, perhaps one of the biggest surprise stories for 2015.

The word out right now is that there will be an immediate rematch between Holm and Rousey, but Tate hints that the outcome will practically be the same.

Seeing how Tate fared against Rousey in the past, her insights do count. And they are not made because she was passed over as Holm's next opponent.

There were clamors to have Tate face Holm first before a rematch between the reigning UFC women's bantamweight champion and Rousey takes place. But the UFC made it clear that the first title defense of Holm would be against the very same person that she won it from, Ronda Rousey.

A fight before that would have been ideal, seeing that the stage for the rematch will be at UFC 200 which is a good six months from now. But for obvious reasons, the UFC wants to make sure that Holm is still champion by the time Rousey is prepped and ready.

Tate believes that Rousey may not have enough time to prepare, as per her interview with MMA Junkie Radio. Citing her commitments and the time she has to prepare, Tate feels that the rematch will still turn up the same.

Tate practically shares the same views of critics who believe that Rousey is still not over her injuries plus the mental side of suffering her first loss.

Just the same, the UFC could care less of what Tate or anyone else thinks. The fact is that they are concerned about drawing in revenue and right now, that is the fight that will do the trick.
