How is Ronda Rousey nowadays? Apparently, this is one thing that most Rousey and UFC fans want to know and the answer to that could very well be discovered on Jan. 23.

Rousey is scheduled to host "Saturday Night Live," perhaps the first public appearance of the deposed UFC Women's bantamweight champion and actress since being knocked out by Australian Holly Holm as reported by the LA Times.

Her stint on SNL will line her up among other popular sports personalities who have had the privilege of hosting the show. That list includes the likes of Tom Brady, Derek Jeter, Peyton Manning and George Foreman.

While her re-emergence is seen as a good sign, there are some who feel that it isn't. And apparently, a lot of that includes critics who have been questioning her priorities – show business or sports?

Considering her state, many fail to realize that Rousey is still down in the dumps. That loss was devastating to her and the best she can do right now is to divert her focus somewhere else. And seeing how she is still feeling the effects of that beating, devoting some of her time in the entertainment industry could be wise.

So what about her rematch? Right now, it seems she is no condition for one and many believe she will end up beat yet again by Holm. UFC President Dana White has probably admitted that as well as he is now open to the idea that Holm would be better off facing someone else as Rousey recuperates (via ESPN).

Rousey has been hit for biting off more than she can handle. Her focus has been obviously diverted with the former champ having too much on her plate.

Despite all that, she is still on course to fulfill her film commitments. After this wave, it remains to be seen what the future holds.
