Unless something out of the ordinary happens this coming August at UFC 190, chances are Ronda Rousey and Miesha "Cupcake" Tate will face off for the third time.

Such was announced by Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) President Dana White who likewise confirmed that Tate has regained her no.1 contender status after defeating Jessica Eye at UFC on Fox 16 Saturday. Tate won via unanimous decision (30-27, 30-27, 30-27).

Rarely would a trilogy take place in the UFC scene, especially if such is dominated by one woman in the first two outings. But ratings are ratings and as it stands right now, Tate it is.

Rousey, on the other hand, is an overwhelming favorite to prevail over Bethe Correia in an upcoming match, which the champ has taken very personal after the Pitbull sent off tactless suicide tweets that made a direct hit at Rousey.

Apparently Rousey lost her father to suicide when she was young and the tweet triggered a fire inside the undefeated champion despite Correia issuing an apology. Rousey shunned the apology, calling it half-hearted and was more of something to save her face.

The only thing many are looking out for now is how Rousey will approach the match. Rousey has been known to finish of her opponents quickly but this time, the reigning UFC women's champion says it will be different and more punishing.

For Tate, it remains to be seen what kind of tactic she will resort to after bowing twice before. And assuming she does have a trick up her sleeve, Tate has to make it last. And right now, the only thing for her to do is beat Rousey in record time, which seems like a pretty tall order for Cupcake.

Apparently all these are things that Tate has running in her mind, a puzzle that has yet to be solved given how Rousey has so far churned out her remarkable performance in the Octagon, no matter who it may be against.
