Ronda "Rowdy" Rousey's mother, AnnMaria DeMars, voiced out in her recent interview with LatiNation that she is not a fan of her daughter's main trainer Edmond Tarverdyan. 

"I think Edmond is a terrible coach, and I will say it publicly. I think he's a terrible coach. I think he hit the lottery when Ronda walked in there," DeMars stated. 

She added that Rousey is already a winner before meeting Tarverdyan, winning in all the judo competitions she joined, which included bagging a bronze medal in the 2008 Olympics. 

"She was one of the top athletes in the world when she walked in there, and he wouldn't even give her the time of day for months. Somebody like that is a terrible coach," DeMars exclaimed. 

DeMars, who is also a former judo champion, believes Rousey is not leaving Tarverdyan because he has been successful with the coach, also comparing it to superstition, according to USA Today Sports' MMA Junkie. 

"I think she stays there because it's like somebody pitches a no-hitter when they're wearing red underwear, and they wear that red underwear for every day — and I think it's superstition, and I would caution anybody from going there."

DeMars thinks Tarverdyan is using Rousey to "lure" people to his gym. According to DeMars, Rousey's coach is a "bad person" and will not be keeping her silence anymore about the matter. 

Rousey and Tarverdyan are set to appear again together as the reigning Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) women's bantamweight champion is set to defend her title on Nov. 14 at UFC 193, which will be held in Melbourne, Australia. 

The 28-year-old UFC champion, who is undefeated in 12 mixed martial arts (MMA) fights with all wins coming via finishes, will take on former boxing champion Holly Holm.

Holm, 33, is also unbeaten in nine MMA fights including in her two fights in the UFC, propelling her to become the number one contender for the title.
