On the latest promo teaser for "Roseanne Revival," the Connors joked about Dan (John Goodman) coming back to life.

John Goodman (Dan), and Lecy Goranson (Becky) were sitting and lounging on the couch watching basketball on television when Roseanne suddenly comes in and asks them how everything is going.

Dan said, "The Chicago Bulls of the '90s would have done much better," to which Roseanne answered, "You can't live in the past, Dan. When things are gone, they're gone forever!"

Of course, the quote doesn't exactly reference Dasn's death, as it can also be about the show coming back after so many years. The original Roseanne premiered on Oct. 1988 and ended on Sept. 1996.

It was revealed in the series finale of Roseanne that Dan died because of a massive heart attack. The revival would forget this fact, with the production team instead weaving another storyline to make up for the show's absence for 21 years.

When the first news of "Roseanne Survival" surfaced, Goodman himself admitted that he wasn't sure how the production team would address his death in the new series. But according to ABC Entertainment President Channing Dungey: "I don't want to talk too specifically, but I wouldn't say we'll ignore the events of the finale. Dan is definitely still alive."

Definitely, the whole plot of the new season is still kept under wraps, but it has been previously revealed by ABC that the cast of the original sitcom is still set to return, which for sure is going to bring waves of nostalgia to the loyal fans of the show. Joining Roseanne, Dan and Becky are Darlene (Sara Gilbert), her husband David (Johnny Galecki), D.J. (Michael Fishman), and Aunt Jackie (Laurie Metcalf). Sarah Chalke is also set to return.

"Roseanne Revival" would have a special hour-long premiere on March 27 on ABC. After that, the show would return to its regular time slot of 8 p.m. EST on April 3.
