'Fallout 4' release date update: trailer made by Guillermo del Toro?

Did someone from Guillermo del Toro's Mirada Studios leak that the company was tapped to work on the cinematic trailer for the still-unannounced "Fallout 4" video game?

The rumors started when Videogamer spotted the LinkedIn profile of a freelance 3D artist who listed the "Fallout 4" cinematic trailer as one of his recent projects.

His LinkedIn CV states that del Toro's Mirada Studios hired him to work on the trailer for "Fallout 4" between December 2014 up to March this year. However, no other detail about the project was provided.

Aside from the alleged "Fallout 4" trailer, the 3D artist seems to have had his hands on some of the biggest video game titles in the past. His portfolio includes "Far Cry 4" cinematic project, "Forza Motor Sports" Next Gen XBOX Console Game, "The Elder Scrolls" cinematic, as well as "Underworld: Awakening," and "The Avengers."

However, the California-based Mirada Studios and Bethesda refused to comment on the validity of the 3D artist's claim.

The rumors about the development of a fourth installment in the post-apocalyptic role-playing franchise has been going around for quite a while already. One of the most recent speculations about the title claims that there will be a 20- to 30-minute gameplay demo that will be released for a selected audience in the coming Bethesda press conference at the Electronic Entertainment Expo 2015 on June 14. However, there is still no confirmation from the game developer about that rumor .

"Fallout 4" is currently one of the most awaited games, since the last game from the franchise titled "Fallout: New Vegas" came out five years ago. On the other hand, the last installment in the numbered "Fallout" game series titled "Fallout 3" came out in October 2008, which is almost seven years ago.

Although del Toro co-founded Mirada Studios, it does not necessarily mean that the critically acclaimed director is personally involved in the alleged cinematic trailer of "Fallout 4," even if the rumors turn out to be true.
