Rupert Friend is currently in talks to replace a role that late actor Paul Walker was originally cast for.

The late actor was cast to star in the "Hitman" sequel "Agent 47" but tragically passed away before filming even began. Production for the film was slated to begin in February 2014, but things had been up in the air since Walker's sudden passing.

Friend, 32, who stars as Peter Quinn on the hit series "Homeland," is reportedly in talks to be cast to take on the role that was originally ntended for Paul Walker in the upcoming sequel, according to E!News.

"Agent 47" would be a follow up to "Hitman" which was released in 2007.

The English actor also starred in "Pride & Prejudice" in 2005, "The Boy in the Striped Pyjamas" in 2008 and as Prince Albert in "The Young Victoria" in 2009.

Paul Walker tragically passed away in a single car accident with his friend Roger Rodas on Nov. 30, 2013. The late actor was in the middle of filming the 7^th installment of The Fast and The Furious movie series at the time of his death.

Universal Studios stalled production of the film for the time being as they decide how to proceed without Walker. There have been reports that Walker's younger brother Cody, 25, has been asked to take on the role of Brian O'Conner, but that has not been confirmed. Other reports state that O'Conner's character will retire.
